C H A R A C T E R I N F O
Character Name: Kazuto "Kirito" Kirigaya
Series: Sword Art Online
Age/Gender: 16/Male
Canon Point: The Red-Nosed Reindeer.
History: Wikia
Personality: Anti-social, Kirito is a jackass. He has a love for computers and games far beyond any healthy person, and has skill for them beyond any healthy person. Due to not having many friends, he's very straight-to-the-point, not cutting any corners. His words may come off as harsh, even when he doesn't mean to. Or even mean to in many cases. He's highly insensitive, but that doesn't mean he isn't kind.

In the game «Sword Art Online», beta testers are not well-received. They are known as people who only care for themselves, not helping any newbies. While Kirito may have done this, never has he left anyone behind who asked him for help or helped anyone who was in trouble right in front of him. He likes to comfort others who may be down, and while his insensitivity may cause people to think that he doesn't have any moral sense, he does feel guilty for his sister (now to be mentioned as his cousin), who he thinks forced his sister to take kendo classes. In turn though, he helps a lot of females, for the sole reason of them reminding him of his cousin.

He's very calm and lazy, and doesn't worry about too many things. However, it doesn't mean he can't be emotional. In fact, it can be said he sometimes lets his emotions get the better of him. If you get to know him better, you may learn he also doesn't really enjoy being the center of attention. In the game, he hides the fact of being able to dual wield, and even his high level, to make sure no one tries to shower him with compliments or even jealously. It's too much of a hassle, anyway. Emotionally, he doesn't know how to deal with his feelings. Or rather, he can't take guilt. Guilt will smash Kirito, and regret will sweep him up after. He really needs someone to get him back on his feet if he starts to feel like something seriously bad happened all because of him, or if he could have stop that something from happening.

He has a like for black clothing, and would prefer wearing something like that rather than anything too bright and flashy. He enjoys fights and a good competition, and takes his food more seriously than most.

Special Abilities: Since this isn't really a game, he's not going to have any kind of special abilities. However, since the game used brain mechanics which pretty much had he himself inside the world, he'll have fast reflexes, a sharp mind to go with it, and a general idea on how to use a sword and what to do with it, aside from making it glow. He did take kendo with his grandfather too, so sword fundamentals are retained.

How did your character die? On a quest to defeat Nicholas to obtain the item to revive the dead, Kirito fails and gets himself killed by the boss instead, resulting his death in the real world in return.

Other: He's going to be remembering his death. Oh fun.

First Person: Q&A, please!

Third Person: It's your fault.

A beta tester. He had tested this game, having more knowledge than the majority. Joining up with a large party was never really for the black swordsman, he always did everything himself, gaining another title of solo player. So when he did, Kirito tried to keep himself from standing out. When coming to fight the boss of the first floor, he noticed something off about the large monster; he was wielding a different weapon than what was informed in the guide book. He yelled, in attempt to give warning that he is a more dangerous foe than one would think. Diabel, another beta tester, goes in, attempting to gain the boss drop.

His life was short-lived.

It's your fault.

After clearing the first floor, everyone realized. Kirito was a "cheater." A beta tester. A beater. "You could have saved him!" Kibaou, a player from the raid, screams out, destroying what was the joy of the first floor being beaten.

It's your fault.

Kirito, standing, sorely captivates himself, blocking out everyone. His mind is full of scenarios playing back in his head, what he could have done to make things differently. It's your fault.

He should have noticed sooner. It's your fault.

He should have taken the front lines more seriously. It's your fault.

The fight continues, the reputation of beta players slowly deteriorating. It was then, he snaps out of it. If he's going to stop the fighting with the newbies, someone has to step up. It's his fault, after all.

Kirito takes the drops for himself, taunting and stroking his ego. "I have far more knowledge of this game than anyone in this room. The other beta testers? They don't even have a clue what they're talking about."

The raid is angered by Kirito's mockery. The word "beater" can be heard throughout the screams.

"Beta tester!"
"Cheater!"
"You only care for yourself!"
""""""Beater!""""""

A walk towards the exit, equipped with the 「Coat of Midnight」. Regret is what he feels, drowning in his own guilt. Someone died today, and it was his fault.

What shows on the outside is totally different.

A provocative smile can be seen, stretching across his face.
Did you read the rules and F.A.Q.? Yes ma'am.
